There are two challenges to using the new technologies that we have today (internet, smartphones, etc) that are oriented around the idea of 'missing.'
One potential problem with our use/abuse of new technologies is that of missing the meaning of life (purpose, priorities) due to the flood of irrelevant as well as relevant information that comes our way every day.

Another potential problem with our use/abuse of new technologies is that of FOMO: the fear of missing out (on experiences that others are having) which is also a product of the flood of information that is coming our way every day.
The gospel helps us to maintain our priorities and to properly fear missing out on eternal glories rather than temporal pleasures and experiences.
