Gospel conversations should be humble conversations. We should go into these conversations with humility toward God and man.
Humility toward God because we are imperfect vessels that God uses in the overflow of His sovereign grace.
Humility toward men because we need a Savior just as much as they do and we are to interact with them as men and women 'made in the image of God.'
But, although we must go into these conversations with humility, nevertheless, we must go!
Who should have gospel conversations?
God calls us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves and that certainly includes telling others the good news that God has loved us in Christ and provided a way of salvation from sin and satisfaction in God.
We will not all be gifted evangelists, but everyone of us can engage in gospel conversations to one degree or another for the glory of God and the good of souls.
How should we engage in gospel conversations?
We should do so in a humble manner that is kind and gentle toward those we are speaking to and dependent on God to change their hearts! (2 Timothy 2:24-26)
When should we have gospel conversations?
When God provides the opportunity through their initiative or through our initiative or through apparent need and ripe circumstances.
You can hear more about this by going here and listening to Humble Conversations.
You can also hear about our humble submission to our great God and Father in His sovereign and good work in our lives and in the lives of others, by going here and listening to Surrender or Die (message by Jackson Tran).
