Coast to Coast Update
Dear Coast family,
I hope you all are doing well this week.
The video above was shown last Sunday in our 9:00 AM hour as part of our overview of the book of Lamentations. You can access that discussion on our website under 'Resources: Sermons.'
The message last Sunday was 'The Serial Forgiver' from Luke 17:1-10. Living a life of mercy in which we continually forgive those who sin against us is an crucial evidence of our new birth and a compelling testimony to a watching and lost world. You can also hear that message on our website under 'Resources: Sermons.'
This Sunday we will be discussing the book of Esther at 9:00 AM. Let me encourage you to take advantage of this time in the Word together, if you are not already doing so.
At 10:30 AM this Sunday, Jackson Tran will be preaching from Ephesians 4:11-16. Please be in prayer for him.
We have scheduled a men's retreat for June 7-9 at Forest Home (Creekside): Addressing Contemporary Sexual Issues in Our Culture. Please feel free to invite other men (13 years old and up) from outside of Coast. If you have any questions or concerns, please let Dan or me know. If you need help financially in order to go, please let us know as well. You can sign up on Sunday or by email.
Stephen and the Worship Team are working toward another Worship Night on May 3 (7:00-9:30 PM), so please mark your calendars. It will be an encouraging night of song, prayer, testimony, and fellowship.
The Coast Leadership Team meeting is coming up next weekend on Saturday, April 20, at 7:00 AM.
Easter Sunday is April 21. This Sunday, Karin will be making an announcement about bringing Easter Lilies for this special day.
We have a Potluck Brunch scheduled for April 28. As a result, our plan for the day will be adjusted accordingly: Sunday School and School of Theology at 8:30 AM; Brunch at 9:30 AM; Worship Service at 11:00 AM.
We have a number of small group fellowship opportunities right now for you to consider being a part of:
'Enjoying God' Study (Sunday afternoons at 1:30 PM at the Miles' House)
Back to Basics Apologetics Group led by Andy Nguyen (Thursdays at 7:00 PM at the facility)
Men's Psalm 119 Study at Jim Sanders' house (2nd and 4th Weds)
Monthly Small Group Fellowship at the Hodsons' (May 31 at 6:30 PM)
Ladies' Bible Study at the Hodsons' (beginning May 15)
Monthly Prayer Meeting (2nd Thursday of each month at the facility)
We also have a number of ministry needs and opportunities right now for you to consider being a part of:
Worship Team (Do you play an instrument or sing?)
Sound Team (Would you like to learn to operate the sound board?)
Powerpoint (Would you consider putting together the slides for worship and operating them during our worship service?
Nursery (Would you consider being a part of the team that cares for our young children? If we had more serving, we could order it so that no one has to miss both services to be a part of this ministry!)
Children's Sunday School (Would you consider teaching our older children and pointing them to Jesus?)
Hope to see you this Sunday!
In Christ's love,
